Not only is Marquis having a "marquee" year (get it...?), but Hendry acquired him after his worst year as a pro in which he had a 6.02 ERA and led the league in Earned Runs with 130 (while allowing a ridiculous 35 home runs). Oh, and he never strikes anyone out. Why would a sane GM do that?
Obviously no one could have predicted this year from him, but it is a fact that Jim Hendry traded FOR him the year after his worst year as a pro and traded him AWAY the year before his best year as a pro.
